Does the Accord Type R drop out of the VTEC zone after gear changes...?

...even when taken right to the limiter? If so, in what gears?

No - max it drops is about 600-700rpm if your shifting - so it stays in the zone

vtec comes to life at 5700-5800 on my Accord.

From: up a bit, left a bit, down a bit, to the right no left ahhh just there

It depends on how quick and smooth your shift action is, change up to early then you WILL drop out of the zone, change up on the limiter (comes with practise) and you stay in the zone.
