HILUX!! Men and boys etc..

Like plenty of others (probably), I was on the Trader site 5 minutes after the Top Gear Hilux episode looking at second-hand values.

Purely by chance (and luck) dropped on this one last week. P reg with a mere 12000 miles. As is usually the case, the wallet twitched. It drives like brand new.

It's a laugh: you feel invincible, and the thing really feels like it is hewn from granite. Great to drive, high driving position, hose-out interior. Should be a good buy, these things hold money like I hold my wallet when its time to get a round.

Now need some tea towels and an AK47, for the full on terrorist look.

Off now to find some **** to drive through. The neighbour's shed also looks tempting.

My other half has had a Hilux Surf for a year now, is brilliant for towing a trailer for his car to track days

Much cheaper if you buy an import and usually far lower mileages than UK ones. The Surf had 42k on the clock for a 1992 and I bought a 1992 Mitsubishi SWB Pajero from same place with 39k on the clock. Both are loaded with innumerable extras as well.

This is the biggest Hilux Surf Website, it has loads of decent members and lots of great information

www.yotasurf.co.uk

I have just sold my surf, lost £200 in 12 months!! They are great motors and hold there values.

Pie eater - it is, its at Esholt WTW (Yorkshire) Well spotted

I was just there taking pictures of a machine I have on hire there for my website, and thought I'd take a pic or two of the Hilux for when I get round to selling it

Olly - is your pick up 4 x 4 ? Its hard to put a price on it with it having done so few miles - you don't mean 120000 do you ? (Don't take offence, its just you don't see a pick up on that year doing so little mileage !)

Pics definitely worth a look to show how to turn something useful into something useless!!

Terzo, it is a 4x4, and mileage is twelve thousand, not 120,000. Bought it from a customer of ours, who purchased it new it for his full time gardener to attend to the grounds of his house. Hence the low miles. All it needs is a proper valet and it will be as new.

P1555ED: Top Hilux mate. You wouldn't argue with that.
