Anyone got experience/views on these?
I am going to look at a 98 R with 75k and FSH on it tomorrow... Insurance is cheaper than I thought it would be!
Advice?
Good news?
Bad news?
Cheers
Mike

Heres the Evo mag car buying guide for the ITR, and like others said have a look over at honda r for buying guides.
Oh and I also currenlty own one and there such good fun, I would advise changing the exhaust for something a little more fun though

I'll not say where it is in case someone goes and buys it before you get a chance but ive just been to see this car today. I've pretty much decided against it as the miles are a bit high for me but It all seemed in good condition apart from a couple of minor marks. certainly worth going to see. The miles shouldnt be anything to worry about as the engines are solid but i just dont wanna pay more money for a car with higher miles than mine im just being too fussy!
If you want any more details on it let me know.

I got a '98 S ITR about 10 months ago,IMO they are one of the best cars around - I plan to keep it a long time because I can't think of anything else I would rather have/afford.
Got mine from the Honda dealer in York, with a 2 year approved warranty for £9k, 43k on the clock, white with a/c - BARGIN!!
The car is an absolute dream to drive, it handles like nothing else, and when you get up to 6,000 rpm, well, be prepared....
Be prepared to look around in order to get the 'right' car, but when you find it, buy it and be happy!!!!!

I had a 96 integra type r for 3 years, racked up about 50k miles in it and never once had a the slightest trouble with it(cept the clutch which went after about 70k). Long story short, brilliant cars, look great,go great, comparatively cheap to run(i used to get about 38mpg cruising down mway at 85-90,bout 30mpg round town!)Crackin motor, get yourself one!!

I bought my 99 ITR from someone off here as it happens and love it. It already had a stainless exhaust and filter and despite them "possibly" losing a bit of power I'm not changing them as the noise is awesome
I've had quicker cars but this is the most fun and touch wood hasn't had any problems as yet.
My only complaint which isnt really a complaint is that the noise can get on my wick on the motorway.
Checking the syncro's would be one of the first things I'd look at and that the oils been changed regularly as they can be thirsty if driven enthusiastically
