Honda Civic 1.5 VTEC-E
My friend had one for a while...
Quick for a small engine, and the VTEC-E for Economy is a decent, strong reliable engine if given good regular servicing and maintenance.
Returns good MPG on a run as well, which is the beauty of the V-tec system.
Enjoy it mate...
Cheers,
Grant

nice1, thank you, presuming honda had a good reliability track record, I did realise it was the economy, done a little search on google but only thing I found was 45.7 MPG
sounds great to me.

Not sure about the earlier ones, but I know the later ones had a wee green "economy" light that came on when cruising.. Just to let you know that you are driving like a granny returning max MPG!!

IIRC they come with 115bhp, which is enough to make it quite a nippy wee car.

was dissapointed with the performance tbh mate, but I have my Renault for the performance. saw the green econ lite com on, thought it was air con at first fiddling about trying to switch it off...lol
thanks again
thanks again
a work colleague of mine bought one of these a couple years back, your looking at old XR3i peformance roughly, so not terrible for what is meant as an economy motor. I think he was getting mid 40s out of it without really trying
