Can't find too many details to hand but believe that this was a fully loaded specification with a unique colour.

They have done more or less the same thing this year with the 40th anniversary special.

Typically, these specials do not retain any more value that an equivalently specced-up base model and potentially they even do slightly worse as the 'perceived benefit' of buying a limited edition car is at its highest when they are new.

As the years roll on, they can quickly appear a good deal less special.

I have also heard stories that dealers don't really like them as because they are (more or less) identicallly specced and they wouldn't really want to have two (or more) of them on their forecourts at the same time - they prefer a little variety.

Therefore, buy all means by one if you like the spec (and colour) but don't be fooled into believing that they are worth any more than a similarly specced-up base model.

All in my humble opinion of course!

P.S. The Scooby special editions Terzo/RB5/P1 are truly special though and will always be worth more than bogo standard cars. Not so sure about the UK100!

No difference in terms of the mechanics. It's basically a fully loaded C4 with special paint & chrome wheels.
AFAIK, a number of warranty claims arosed out of those wheels where coatings came off.

I saw one today at AFN Porsche in Reading, it looked good appart from the wheels. Chrome just doesn't go.

Not sure about millenium edition, only the 40th Aniversary edition.

It is a special edition of the Carrera 2, with an increase in power by 25bhp to 345bhp. It has firmer dampers, lower ride height, and is only available in metallic silver. Every model will have a numbered plaque, 911 Turbo-style front end and 18" polished 5 spoke alloys. 1963 will be built, to mark 40 years of 911 production and should cost £68k approx.

If only it had a turbo front end!

Yeah, agree about the wheels - chrome is a little too bling. Just slightly polished would have looked better.
