A friend of mine has just purchased one of these little motors.

I see it today for the 1st time it really is a funny little shape ( A wedge of cheese comes to mind)

Anyway Kevin informs me that it has a Nissan engine in it 1.8 Turbo, And tells me that is feels quite quick because it only wieghs 850kg's

He would like to start modding it, Has anyone got any tips for him to get Him started

Has tried contacting a Specialist Nissan garage for the last 3 Days but they say that they are to busy for someone to talk to Him
( Silvia Enginering in Maldon Essex)

Does anyone know of any other specialists who could help him out with some good advice

Also a little curious as to what the BHP would this be running?

Any info appreciated

Tiny...

Try scimitar specialist like Scimpart or Graham Walker.

I will try to find their numbers tommorrow when I get to work.

For CA18DET tuning you can't go far wrong with http://www.sxoc.com - it's the same engine as the S13 Nissan 200SX.

There's already one other SS1 owner on there. Would it be advisable to mention that they can be tuned to 500+bhp?

I was thinking, it might be the S12 engine, which is the CA18ET from the 80's Nissan Silvia - not as tunable as the DET, but still a pretty potent motor. www.sxoc.com will still have plenty of info though - there's loads of Silvia owners there.

They look like speed boats.
