Airbag warning lights ?
#1
The airbag warning light on my 2001 Mondeo started flashing before, intermittent then solid, had a search around the net and I found a reference to a set track position sensor under the drivers seat. Being as my wife borrowed the car and moved the seat is there any chance that this confused the electronics. I had a fiddle under the seat and there was loads of connectors so I re-seated them and the light is no longer on but I am not sure if I cured it or what.
Anyone had any issues with airbags, it still in warranty but I would rather keep away from Ford dealers if its all the same with you, just wondering if my rationale sounds feasible.

Might just have been the seatbelt pre-tensioner connector, they often give bad connections especially when moving the seat so unplugging then plugging back in can cure it.
If it doesn't come back on dont worry about it.

Yeah forgot to mention that, IIRC it's 4 flashes for the pretensioners which will almost certainly be the connections cos the units themselves rarely, if ever, fail.
