Swaped the Scooby for a YRV Turbo (only had it a week) and some c u next tuesday has scratched my rear 1/4 panel

What's the best polish to use to hide it?

T-Cut or something?

My car is Matalic black colour

Unhappy

Or a scratch removal type company. I've just had my car keyed so need to find someone also. Anyone got any recommendations?

Sorry to hear that dude. The pics on our other site was really good.

Wouldn't worry though, mine already has a little dent in one of the rear doors, and a light scratch down one side.

Hope its not too bad and you can get it removed easily.

As for the YRV Turbo? question, its Daihatsu's latest hot hatch with a 1.3 Turbo motor producing 128bhp.

Its the modern Charade GTti basically. One of the most powerful 1.3 motors around (stock).

but back on topic there was a thread a fair while back about a technique where u put paint in scratch allow to dry for a little while then t-cut or sumin so surrounding paint is removed leaving only in scratch, that's all i can remember so cant help or advise any more than that guess it depends how deep yer scratch & pockets are really.... Either way B4STARDS!!!!!

If u want to pop over to our workshop next week & let me have a look I'll advise you best. If it'll polish out we'll do it for free (always glad to help out a fellow Scoobynetter).

Myself & my brothers run LittleKnocks SMART Repair Centre in Harefield (just off the A40)

Let me know

Chris

I tried touch up paint on my last car...

made such a mess i fobbed it off as "Its my name in chinese, honest!"

A few people fell for it.

Then spent 3 hours getting it off with some special cleaning agent, that worked a treat. Damn hard work though.

Never going near touch up pain again. Will leave it to the pro's next time.

I used ChipsAway to sort a 12 inch scratch on my Passat. Finish is now perfect and cannot see where the scratch (keyed) was. Think it was about £90.

'Chips away' are a franchise & we're a family business. All our guys are experienced fully qualified car painters so 90% of the repairs are to bodyshop (rather than smart repair) standard.

With respect to chips, it really depends on where the damage is, sometimes it can be made completely invisible & sometimes just improved. Where we differ is we have the equiptment & skills to paint a complete panel if required to save the cost of using a bodyshop.
