Can any one help. Is there anyone out there who drives a cherokee jeep. The in-laws are here for Christmas, just tryed to start the car and just a click. Glow plugs, lights and other electrical seems ok but no start. Just tried jump leads and off it went only problem is they won't be able to jump start when there off. Any ideas?
Cheers.

If it started OK with jump leads it sounds likre a battery or alternator. Leave it parked on a hill until you get it checked out.

Depends on what year it is if its an early one no you dont
My parents have one of these grand cherokee and it sounds to me like the battery is dying How cold was it if a battery gets too cold it wont work trick is to wrap the battery in insulating stuff similar to what you use on the hot water tank
Dont know why this happens to jeeps butseems to happen on a regular basis
