Open discussion re: All Sports car marques

Tonight's Top Gear has raised some interesting questions....none in the least how certain car owners are viewed/stereotyped.
You must be a wierdo if you buy a Crossfire
You must be boring if you buy an A4
You must be tight if you buy a diesel
TT owners viewed as hairdressers
Scooby owners viewed as racer boys
Civic Type R owners viewed as er...wannabees...
Cossie drivers viewed as criminals.... The list goes on...
Question is: whenever I meet someone who owns a car worth talking about (whether it be in a pub, at a party, donner with friends whatever) I give them:
a) Respect and ....
b) Want to find out why they bought the car, what's it like to drive etc.... I NEVER, ever, resort to some of the comments made on this forum - who in their right mind would meet a friend of a friend and say "ah...I see you've bought a Megane...you must be gay" it just doesn't happen......
I've seen some absolutely awesome looking cars in my time, especially at various track days, some great looking Honda's, Audi's, Subaru's, Nissan's and TT's modded with Porsche Brakes, lowered suspension, chipped and different wheels (this makes them loook the business), as I have with the new model scooby's and also the P1, which is still the dog's danglies as far as I'm concerned.
It seems from Clarkson's view that whatever car you drive unless it's a GT3 Porsche you are destined to be stereotyped - this is wrong IMO - we all buy cars for a reason and I'm sick of all the bollocks surrounding every car - fact is iof you spend anything from 15K to 100K on a sports car you have a right to be a proud owner.

M3s especially bad from my experiences over the last week. Had a second near miss within 7 days today with an M3 who decided to overtake with no indicators and cut accross 3 lanes after going across the hatchings where the M25 joins the A1.
Last week I had to swerve voilently to avoid one that undertook at the same place and then cut up half the road in his quest to reach the holy grail ( outside lane)
Idiots, who prove nothing that they have far more money than sense.
I don't care what people think about what I drive, thats why I have 2 Daihatsus to go with the Scoob.
