...are they any good ?
I'm looking for a comfy, cheap(ish) barge to take me to and from work.
Any other car suggestions welcomed.
Cheers

My dad has got a MY96 Omega 2.5 V6 CDX Estate, he bought it as an ex-demo with about 2.5k miles on the clock and it has now covered 180k miles and has NEVER broken down, EVER...
EXTREMELY comfortable car to drive, and cheap to run too.
Another one, is the 2.5TD Omega as the engine was sourced from BMW.
Fingers crossed my dad never sees me agreeing with him that his Vauxhall is a good, reliable car... I'll never hear the end of it!!
Cheers,
Grant

Just like to say that the Estate is massive as well, huge load area. My dads has a Full Vauxhall Service History so assume this makes a difference when it comes to reliability compared to a car thats been serviced by Jock down the road in his garden!
The CDX comes with all the extras too, Dual Zone Climate Control, Heated/Electric Heats, 6 CD, Trip Computer, Full Electrics Pack, Refrigerated Glovebox I'm sure its got more stuff but cant remember off the top of my head... Oh and its RWD so you can have a laugh too!!

Yeah, it works....
Although if you set it one extreme to another, then I am sure that it wont work!!
We had an extended test drive in a new 93 Aero the other week and we asked what the dual zone thing was like on that and the guy said its great but anything over a 6deg difference and it will start to screw up, and the temp in each others half of the cabin will interfere with each other causing temp probs. Sounded like a load of crap to me, but it does work, and I dont know how!!
