Just out of interest put the prelude on the rollers on sunday at Thornbury and it gave 178bhp at flywheel. Which is a little down on quoted standard of 185bhp for MY97 2.2vtec new shape lube.

Oh well getting rid of it soon anyway to make way for CTR

Not sounding funny, but how can the rollers accurately measure whats at teh fly, surely they only give whats at the wheels?

If so then im guessing thats an approximation on the figure.

LOL Why whenever I try to edit my post it says I dont have the right password????

178 when it should be 185. Thats a very small percentage on a result that isnt an accurate reading, power at the wheels would be more of a way of telling how good the car was running.

You are right it is only an estimated from power at the wheels. Power at the wheels was 123bhp and flywheel power is I think estimated by measuring losses or deceleration after power has been cut.

Its auto transmission so losses are huge!
