Having been in one, owned by a mate, not a good enough mate to let me drive it though I can confirm
They (well that one) are very fast. 900Kg + >400BHP = Fast
They are expensive, considerably more than £30K to build it yourself.
They are rare, well I have only ever seen one other than pics.

Been around Snetterton as a passenger in a ProSports 3000 which I was told was designed by the same bloke as the Ultima and was similar in a number of ways. Flippin'eck it was quick and I must tell you that you haven't experienced anything on-track until you have tried something that generates as much downforce as this thing did. The whine from the straight-cut gears and the smell of petrol only added to the experience! A cheap way to get 'Le Mans style' thrills on track IMHO, but frankly, I'd be embarrased to drive the open top version of the Ultima down any UK high street

Typical build cost would be £40k - anything from £30k to £70k depending on spec and how much you want the factory to build
Budget for loosing 50% of that when you come to sell though
