Question

a question im raising for my neighbour here. when he pushs down his clutch pedal it makes a loud clicking noise when fully flat. there is nothing obvious like obstructions and the gears are changing ok. can anyone offer some light on this?
cheers, cliff.

Hi Cliff,
My son has just bought a 106, we don't have any clicks that I'm aware of.
Perhaps your neighbour could check around the peddle assembly for obstructions that could be catching, or possibly a worn bush or cable.

We do have a petrol gauge that's got a mind of it's own though

It's probably the self-adjusting mechanism in the clutch cable that's on it's way out...

Had this in my old 106 GTi and it's just a case of swapping the cable for a new one.
