Saxo with a "Veilside" (read copy) nose Jap tuning/styling stuff does not work on a French hatchback - that looks sooooo crap. He can't even put a fecking no. plate on it (its in his front window) - that also makes his car illegal.
And yes, I do have a French hatchback

Lol! Why have big wheels with small spokes when all they do is make piddling small brakes even more obvious?
Seems to have standard seats and steering wheel as well, so you can add the Momo sticker to the list of things the car ain't really got.

Can't see the point in slagging of other peoples cars on a public BBs when we all do exactly the same thing just to our own liking. Everyone has to start somewhere and all scooby owners with standard brakes (2-pot or 4-pot) also have piddling poor brakes, so whats the difference, and lots of them also put decals down the side with equipment they don't have on the car also.
I wouldn't slag anyones car of that wasn't as nice as my own (in my opinion that is other people may think it's ****e) as i have had some real sheds yrs ago when scoobys first came out.

I think any idiots who drive round towns in ridiculous jumped up Vauxhall Corsas, with pointless spoilers and bodykits and 120 decibel music pumping out deserve to publicly humiliated. I never did this when I was younger and I don't know anyone who finds it even slightly impressive.
And they always wear a cap when driving, never understood this, I just put the sun visor down!

Don't you just lov it though when you pull up at the side
of em and have the "list" but don't need to advertise it.
yeh I can see why they do it and when younger some of
us were there with them, but given a few years he'll be
slagging them of as well!!
Oh I wish I was 17 again.
I might send him some more from father christmas.

If I thought people would get the joke I'd love to put a REAL shopping list down the side of my car!
Eggs
Bacon
Sausages
Bread
Milk
All in the same style as the tuning companies. Can you imagine "sausages" in the Greddy logo? lol.

Maybe they're alright in the hands of a decent driver?

I think this is the type of thread that makes scoobynet a ****e place to be sometimes, why do some people insist on slagging other cars off it's beyond me.
Greasemonkey, it isn't the calipers surely you realise mate, it is the discs and pads that are the problem and i'm pretty sure Martin Rowe and Toshihri Arai don't have standard Subaru discs and pads on mate.
Paul Woodward,
so whats the problem with wearing a cap,(you would look pretty stupid with a sun visor on your head Paul, but ehh each to his own mate) now your slagging off their clothes Anyone into cars should realise each to his own, who says what is right and wrong!!!!!
Can not see the sense at all in threads like this.

Back to the point, not slagging the car but having Jap tuning companies one your French car for which none of the listed companies produce anything for is a bit strange, as a variation on the Sausage theme perhaps a Scoob owner could list,
Gitanes
Pernod
Frogs Legs
L'Escargot
Hairy Pits
Eurodisney
Soap Dodging
on the side of their vehicle.

I think the best part of this thread been the admission that we've all owner ****ters to get to where we are today.
I remember my Uno Turbo with logos along the side skirt, and worse still chequered flag type decals on the rear of my XR2. Infact, I've had alot of these items sponsored mainly by strange youthful fixation with Halfords and my total lack of car styling
Thankfully, I'm alittle older and have some readies to do it all properly.

v5man, all of us want our cars to look nice, but you have to admit that most of the heaps that drive round town just look ridiculous, I really believe that if something isn't serving a purpose (like a spoiler) it shouldn't be on there. I'm all for subtle improvements like colour coding bumpers, mirrors etc.
Perhaps it's because I had motorbikes 'til I was 20 that I missed out on that stage, although it is funny when an XR2 tries to race a 500cc 2 stroke bike!
