Any one have any official figures 0-62, top speed etc for a 1993 325 Auto.
A mate of mine has just bought one and he's interested to know. I can only find figures for the manual version.
Cheers

emthree,
Depends on the gearing of top gear. Most Auto's have a higher top gear, on some auto's it can make the auto over 10mph slower than the manual.
Look at something like a 2.5V6 Mondeo or Alfa 156, fit an auto box and the performance is blunted down to that of the 2.0 manual version.
Just wondering what effect the Auto box had on the 325.
Cheers

I used to have a 1992 325i SE with an auto box and it really isn't too much slower compared to a manual. Only about half a second slower to 60 and the top ends near identical. I once had an indicated 155mph (on a private track of course) on mine. I think all BMW's with engines over 2 litres should be auto's as it suits the characteristics of that silky smooth 6 cylinder, except for the M cars of course.
