how dangerous is it to drive the car with it knocking? when stationary or on the move too, when you press the brake pedal & let off there is a clunking sound coming from the rear of of the car sounds like under the rear seat area? i believe the brake limiter valve is f**ked? any ideas, all i know is it distributes the braking between the fronts & rears? i'll ring renault in the morning

Thats not the only question. What about how much more damage you could cause? Maybe none cos i don't know jack about Clios, but i would be very careful if it was my mota

just got back from bedford autodrome in the clio & drove like an absolute madman, in the wet too, spun it a few times, & i can report it was totally fine, will be going in on monday to be fixed, point taken about it being dangerous n all, so all i'm saying is it will take a LOT of abuse as is ta

Mine does the same, surely this is just a Clio Cup trait and not a problem ?

Nope, it's a known problem and only Cup's are affected...

yep its a known problem its the brake valve limiter that supplies even braking between the wheels, not seriously dangerous but would def get it looked sooner rather than later on warranty. mines in today getting done
