Thumbs up

Couple of years back, one of my work colleagues bought one. For a 1.4, it was very quick, but I always worried about the life-expectancy of such a small engine.

At the time, I was driving a 91 Celica GIi, and it kept up with that in a straight line to about 80. Didn't handle very well though, and the driver eventually was persuaded by the looks of my Celica to chop it in for a Fiat Coupe.

Seems to me, that it's been somewhat overlooked in the Super Mini class, with the Saxo and Pugs out there. Shame, because in a drag race, I'd put my money on the Fiat.

I used to have one..
Liked - How rare it was, different to the ususal saxo's etc, no one knew it was a turbo, the noise (full exhaust, filter and DV)

Disliked - Handling was appauling, felt like you floated round corners, build quality was poo and dealer was terrible.

Sold it because I had a few too many problems with it. Would have one now if I could find a low mileage one as a runabout...whats your plan?

A failed attempt at following on from the Renault 5 GTT.

They forgot to make it handle.
