Midget 1500, just had a look at your site, all I can say is you must be a masochist, that looked like a lot of hard work and pain but a really nice result !
Quite different from the approach of a lot of Scoobynetters, i.e. buy a fairly expensive new Scoob and then replace everything, the only tool used being a credit card.

Midget 1500,
That is one stunning looking car.
I didn't go for reshelling as I thought the original one wasn't too bad. WRONG. The design of these these things is simply perfect for rust to form in just about every section. Anyway, neally completed the welding now. At least it's a challenge and keeps me busy.
Thanks for the reply, the links page will be very useful.
All the best
Shaun

I had two Austin Healey Sprites bioth mk4's, same as mk3 midget and with the proper 1275 engine
1st one had a Cosworth tuned engine, belt driven cam rather than the normal chain drive, big valve head, fast road cam, balanced bottom end and twin 1 3/4SU's + janspeed manifold and exhaust, it had 125BHP (std around 75) and went like hell. In BGR with dk red/cream leather interior on wires and a cream softtop it looked good.
Sadly x wife took it whjen she left, i would rather have kept the car than her but there you go.
Not so much a car as a hobby with weekly maintainance, etc.
Moss do a good/complete range of spares which means these cars will be around for a long time.

1500,
Just been on the site and registered, looking for tips on spraying. My last hobby, mk11 RS200 looked like someone through the paint at it from 10 yards. They seem to be a sensible bunch, no stupid replies and sarcy comments.
Is yours on the road now ? and what will you have next ?
Cheers for your help

yeah, on the road for a few years - just constantly modifing it though!
the mgbbs lot are great, you won't get any **** like on here as most of the users are emmmmm, older (40-70), so helpful and sensible!
take a look at the board "k-series conversions" - i think this is my next big modification - 0-60 (1.8VVC) in around 4.5secs
