What alternatives are there to this, same sort of thing, i.e. Diesel,hatch/small saloon, handles ok, cheap to run/insure,nice to drive etc....

Dont fancy the pug but would like the same sort of thing but better made/better quality.

Upto £5k.

how bout an early golf m/n plate or even a t plater skoda fabia tdi! german reliability and build quality!

New shape Rover 200/25 Diesel turbo. I had a 1.8 vvc version and it was great. I have borrowed the diesel turbo version as well and it a really nippy little thing loads of torque. I have also had a 306 D turbo and would say the rover it a bit faster as well
