Saw my first ever Soarer
#1
This should probably be in "was it you", but in the light of the recent discussions I thought it was rather funny
Never seen one before in the flesh (don't think they sold them over here) and I must say it looked quite good actually.
Think it was Saturday on the Dutch/Belgian border near Eindhoven heading towards Antwerp. UK numberplate, can't remember the color. (green I think)
Was in a courtesy car, so couldn't really play
So, did I see the illustrous erm... erm...?

Green ones are not rare. About 70% of them are green, for some reason. Probably so that they blend in with the surrounding countryside and therefore minimise the eyesore factor...

I overtook one going down the M3 just before Winchester a while back, it was green. Was cruising @ around 80mph in the 22, he was doing maybe 75. After I passed this guy he freaked out, floored it and dissapeared down the road at XXXmph. I caried on cruising and had a chuckle. Saw him later on when the traffic built up and he took off again..undertaking/overtaking...driving like a loon. Very undignified, seemed to have a point to prove.

Dunno whether that's a special edition NRev, it might be, but swamp/ditchwater green is the most common colour. Guy near me has a white one, knows way more than is healthy about these things.

That is blatantly photoshopped, by Mycroft's own admission.
He also claims that this is his:
Looks like a more realistic picture to me, but then again who knows whether it is actually his, could be more BS

At the risk of being savaged by Mycrofts groupies, I actually like the way they look. They also seem pretty good value for money.

As long as you can sleep tightly with the knowledge that they're not the fastest car in the world ever ever ever ever ever ever, and wouldn't beat *any* production road car in a track race (as long as the Soarer's allowed Dragster Top Fuel race mixture, it's 3 hours long, can only take place on a Zimbabwean bank holiday and God knows how many other stipulations), then fair enough!
It's a shame a decent enough car has been dragged through the mire because of one BSing owner.

I must admit, I reckon it would be a great car for my morning motorway jaunt to work, although I'd be tempted to go for the V8 auto rather than the TT manual. Into Drive, set Cruise, sleep until I hit the traffic at J16

As I said, I thought it looked quite good in my rear mirror... erm, that's before it passed me as I was driving on LPG
I didn't know what it was until it passed me, and I had a small chuckle when I saw the "Soarer" sign on the back
Sorry Rev, missed my opportunity I guess

Vile-weeble, next time just think what a shame you don't have such a lovely car to run about in...
Yep, Peppers right, its Sky Blue-Orange... hahaha
J22 GTR and 504 RER [Soarer] are my plates...

Thanks for bracketing the meaning to the tacky plate, Mycroft
Is it a TVR or an M3 next so we are all able to get what your car is by its plate?

Hey Mycroft, you forgot the apostrophe between the Telboy and s.
Or is that "optional" too now..??!
Go on, give us another sentence incorporating the word its' - i do like to see ignorance of the English language in action, for its comedy value if nothing else...
