Right having seen SB's Broken Honda thread, during your driving career what parts have you broken, I dont mean breaking a window winder off, I mean what have you caused to explode, implode, detonate or catch fire, heres my tally

Granada 2.8i shi77er, taking it to auction during my car dealer days, decides to do some Sweeney style junction work and it empties the contents of the diff on the floor (Metal and oil), passing motorist stops to help in a Granada, I gave him the car, well chuffed as it matched his exactly and would have cost more to tow away and he gave me a lift home !

Montego turbo, after 2 weeks of raised boost, launches it and sends bits of diff flying all over the place along with an oil slick 100 ft long, cogs dented the chassis and punctured it in one place, the only non Austin Rover bit on the car, A VW part !

Mini with race engine, race top end, standard bottom as it turned out, explodes and sends big end cap thru the ally panel where the carb sat into the cabin with lots of hot oil, misses me but dents the roof and lands on the back seat.

Not me but my uncle, finished 3 grand engine job on his classic Jowett Javelin, crusing down motorway and the engine splits in two following a mains bolt snapping.

I have broken just about everything you can

engines, including pistons leaving the block
gearboxes, including stripping every tooth of 1st gear
axels, including twisting 1/2 shafts
chassis, bit too much power
cars, I have rolled 5, crashed 9 others
wheels, curbed a magensium alloy wheels which exploded
brakes, warped disks
shocks, burst a front shock on a heavy landing having jumped a humpback bridge
springs, snapped 1 set of coil springs when doing the above
springs, leaf springs had a hanger let go to the car was not happy
electrical fire 1
tyres, 1000's i think used to burn out till they burst
propshaft, had one go a UJ at the dif end, it flew round & round destroying everything it hit, use a prop loop on the escort now
seats, dont even ask
windscreens several, stones & pidgeons like my screens
rear screen, well it was a hells angel on a bike with his bird swinging the chain but it still took out the window.
trafic light 1 set carefully remove from the ground
road bollards 1 set carefully removed from ground
fox 1 moved from living to dead
petrol tank, split one when the car fell off the jack

plus all maner of lucky little things
