Dunno if anyone can help here - I am looking at a 355 ferrari (95M reg) & would only buy with a good warranty.
I dont mind spending loads on a warranty as long as its a good one.
Does anyone know my options when buying a warranty for a used 355 ??

Maybe a Ferrari dealer might be able to give you a few more pointers??
Just pick up a copy of Top Marques and there should be alot of sale in there, maybe call a couple with warranty (posing as a buyer) and ask about how much it was? where it was from? what it covers?
Cheers,
Grant

You can buy a Maranello warranty from a Ferrari dealer - I think its about £2k for a year and if I remember correctly they have to inspect the vehicle before the warranty can be taken out..
Saying that - it is extremely comprehensive.

Thanks for the nod David!
Now had a F355 for nearly a year (N Reg) and the question on warranty really comes down to how you are going to drive it.
If you are going to keep it in a garage and only take it for the occasional gentle run then don't bother with the warranty - it is approx £2K for a year.
If you are going to drive it like it is meant to be driven (HARD) then the warranty is a must. I've more than had my money back on it twice over. The vehicle has to have an inspection first to make sure it's OK but if you are getting it from a dealer they should give you at least 6 months warranty with it, after which you can extend it annually.
I looked at getting one private and to be honest I didn't know enough to spot a good one from a bad one (and the mistake could be very, very costly).
All in all, finding a dealer who is prepared to negotiate, throw in 6 months warranty and then extend the warranty every 12 months is the way to go. you can then enjoy the car with the knowledge you are covered for everything except wear and tear i.e. tyres so make sure they have got plenty of tread on them - especially the back ones!
Any specific questions - just give me a nod.

Buy from a franchised dealer and the sticker price will usually include that £2K warranty.
Whenever I had niggly things go wrong with my F355, they collected it on the back of a covered low-loader and delivered it back to my door.. None of this "driving over to them malarky". Top service.

Maybe Subaru should up the warranty price to 2K to cover the low loader collect and deliver then
I suppose 2K is not bad for a car of this calibre. The sticker price may come down as the cars get older - just whether you can afford to run it and maintain it properly i suppose.
Nice cars mind and i i could i would!
