Hi all,

quick question (I'm sure you can guess what it is!)

Is it possible to acheive the above? Second car is the Cinq Sporting (it obviously needs more oomph). Rough calcs in my head sujggest this combination would give me a better PWR than I have in my Corrado VR6 (ok not the most powerful car in the world!}

Any ideas if it is possible/costs etc.

Cheers,

Nev

I saw a pic of a Cinq with a 1.4 16v Sporting engine in-I presume the GT is a variant of this,albeit with a few extar bits.

Sounds good, the 1.4 turbo engine produces (I think) 140ish bhp. In a small car, it's going to fly!!

Reminds me of what "DubSport" (i think), did with a Lupo. They filled it's engine bay with a big fat VR6 lump

GT engine is 1.4 8V, I "think" Mark 1 and 2 engines produced 136 bhp and Mark 3 produced 130 but the mark 3 was just as quick. Try asking on puntosports.co.uk (i think that was the site!)

Matt,

I agree, I could just buy a GT, but what with the Cinq probably being quite a bit lighter, I imagine it will be more of a laugh! Not just that, but I'd love to see the look on peoples faces as a 'crappy' small Fiat comes past cars it really doesn't deserve to!!

Plus I would ahve thought I could get the bits I need to convert for less than the price of a good GT (hopefully!)

I reckon it's a top idea-thoes Cinq's just seem to stick to the road with their wheel in each corner.It'll be a flyer when it's done-launch/tracion control ight be an idea though with the tiny wheels.

i think it would be un-drivable unless something was done with suspension/traction control, my wife has had two and pulling away with the 55/60hp on tap had it squirming all over the place, i did read though that van arken(sp?) did a turbo kit with just over 100hp, it sat on larger rubber,so maybe that would help!

would love to see this done,but just dont expect it to go round corners!
regards
dave
