American Cars.

If you plan to drive one enthusiasticly, you'd better have some sea sickness pills!
I've come very close to owning two Yank tanks: 1974 Dodge Charger 400 Magnum, I quickly realised the expense and stupidity of owning a 400 cu in car with only about 150hp due to emmisions gubbins(I was only 17), then just before I bought the Scoob I nearly bought a 67 Mustang Fastback with standard 302 cu in and sought after Pony interior and ARE wheels (same as the 'stang in Bullit). Just wasn't brave enough to make the committment as it would have been my daily driver.
You can't beat a big V8, bench seats, drum brakes and leaf sprung suspension for excitement

regarding Yank tanks "sports cars" yes they have very hard suspension, jarring in fact and the ones I drove still wallowed round corners like a drunk elephant.
Drove the Grand Prix GT "sports"
Older Camaro (whale)
and a classic Dodge Charger! (didn't care what it drove like it looked the mutts nuts and the noise was to die for)
They suck and are built worse than a Tomy toy car
