Tried searching but nothing came up.....

I'm thinking about getting hold of a Landy to cart the dogs about in and as a possible restoration project but I haven't a clue about them.

Which is the more sort after model? Any pitfallss etc or any general information gladly appreciated.

Cheers all.

Question

Need a bit more info than that - what's your budget ?

What else do you want to do with it ?

Just you and dogs or more passengers ?

Fair point Alistair. Initially, I want it for dog transport and lugging stuff around in so obviously I need a runner and my budget is around £2k.

I'm looking for one of the older ones - Series II or III I think - and on my wish list I'd want a canvas top, winch (dunno why, always fancied one though) and I'm not fussed about whether it's diesel or petrol.

Ideally, the bodywork would be in good condition the idea being to get it restored over a couple of years to A1 condition without breaking the bank.

Any information as to what to look for and what to avoid?
