Wink

LOL, too exclusive for me and I'm sure Mycroft's international Toyota database excludes further export to Germany , well probably only to me as I'm the type of punter that he wouldn't like to drive a Soarer...

Skoda Superb Comfort PD 130, £19k with all the extra's you'd want ESP, 17-inch alloys and curatin airbags, plus lots of standard kit climate, parking sensors, cd autochanger, etc etc and excellent build quality, the cabin looks better than my parents Passat, though not quite as good as the Audi. Look at getting 50mpg on the motorway, really comfortable and room to spare, they are at least as big as a S-class Merc in the back. OK you lose badge snobbery bragging rights, but I'm not that fussed about the image myself, just sit back and enjoy the car.

Thumbs up

... and another ex-Scooby driver voting for Skoda. They're 95% Audi with the exception that the Skoda chassis engineers seem to know what they're doing on A & B roads.

Question

I'm Taking a hit on my car allowance to boost my salary. I've got 20 grand 'ish' to spend. Needs to have 5 seats, 4/5 door, no convertibles and must be new.

Choices I see Alpha 156(2.4 Diesel or 2.6 Petrol)
BMW 520
Audi A4 1.9 Tdi

What else is out there, needs to be capable/comfortable on M/way and be able to take reasonable luggage rather than out and out performance.

I prefer the look of the 320 estate to the saloon and the A4 Saloon to the Estate.

Currently got a 523i which I'll be sad to see go.
