I am considering buying an old one K reg ish. Any thoughts, pointers, do and dont's etc. What were your experiences of owning such a vehicle?

Bit Underpowered, I had a 320 touring and loved it, 325 much faster
generally hold up well, drivers seat cloth wears, check for a service history and make sure all the electric bits are working, you really dont want to know how much a rear wiper motor is !
Check play/wear in rear suspension bushes etc are difficult to replace

Power isn't really a problem as I'm upgrading from a 1.8 diesel escort! Also if I want to go v fast I'll take out the other car
