Ok,
I know i've got the Westi for fun driving and trackdays...but my Golf PD150 is getting a little boring on a daily basis. I'm thinkning of getting shut and replacing it with something like a 2 year old Audi S4 Bi-turbo Avant.
I've not driven one of these cars yet (I could hate it - you never know) but I was just wondering if anyone else has any experience of ownership/driving etc ?
I am looking for a Black Avant with black leather - the Audi dealer network seems like it no longer keeps these cars as they are getting a little old in the hat.
Its all just thoughts at the moment - but any ideas and opinions welcome as always
Ian.

I recently made the switch from MY00 Impreza Turbo to a MY00 S4 Avant. So far, I am very happy with the switch. The S4 is a very stealthy car - you don't get as much attention as the scooby did. It is quick, and the build quality and interior are in a different league to the scooby - it is a much more 'grown up' car.
Mine is standard (265bhp & 295lb/ft), but they are very tunable - 320bhp & 380lb/ft is about the norm from a simple re-map.
I paid just over £20k for mine from an Audi dealer. There are still a few in the Audi approved network, but they are quite rare cars. Also, a lot of the private sellers I saw on Autotrader were asking for ridiculous prices.
Have a look at http://www.rs246.com for more info
cheers,
Andy
