Ok.
help.
am out of ideas and literally dont knwo what to suggest.
friend is a semi car nut. has about 25/30k to spend.
you need some history. He has had BMWs and is a fan of rear wheel drive but likes performance cars. Hates unreliability and cant put up with nad quality. Has had a few BMWs and likes rear wheel drive.
Has had an evo 6 but couldnt put up with the fuel range.
he is an estate agent and cant as such needs 4 seats for clients. cars such as stis and evos are decidedly too lairy an image.
always wanted a range rover has had two now and is sick of poor reliability.
so now he has to buy.
things he is already considering are: all second hand :
maserati 3200gt, BMW M5, BMW 330 convertible
no to impreza, no to evo 8, no to audi convertible.
remember, must have 4 seats and at least partially appeal.
i suggested a second hand 993 possibly 6, but he said no.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
he has already rejected an X type too, but I may suggest one again.

quit his job and buy what he likes- the only job where your car effects your work is if you race them! my estate agent can drive a spaceshuttle as long as he sells my house when i need him to!

M5 or a 330 coupe/conv any day..
forget alfa's our local dealer shut down as they where sick of getting all their stock back for repair every week !!
Massers are nice, but are not a good car to drive fast.. my boss test drove one, then bought an M3 Conv..
If he was over 50 years old I would have suggested a hot Jag..

I have just bought an Alpina B3 3.3, cracking car, way better than the 330ci which it replaced, excellent 'Switch-tronic' semi auto box, great brakes, steering, engine, lovely noise, very exclusive, how many GENUINE Alpina's did you see in the last week?
