this is what the rs owners club get up to! with there 10 a penny focus' in "ampro blue" oooooo nice! and did they get that escort off of a anitques auction with david dickinson at the helm!

I think you will find people on here are a bit more open minded and let fellow car enthusiasts enjoy what they have and what they can afford.
Appreciate what you have now and think back to your humble beginnings and how much you liked (possibly ) your first car.
Not sure if a) it was Dingy that had the escort, b) if it's still around, but if it is, see how that goes, you might be surprised

Looking for a 2.0 jobbie, but I can't find the right one to spec at the mo. Fortunately a 1600cvh one looks the job, right colour (very important ), right sort of price (well good starting price)....so could be a good building block for an engine upgrade at a later date

I can see Lotus engines being more expensive to fix and tune though
Was after a Ford or Vauxhall 2.0 litre ideally. Mind you, would be safer to get used to the car with slightly less power
V8s sound nice as well, but too thirsty and not sure on the weight balance with the size of engine......
