Still contemplating M3 Coupe help

M3s have hit depreciation territory so I dont think this will solve your depreciation problem. e46s can be had for as little as £33k now and this is only due to get worse with new shape 3 series due out in next 2 years.
IMHO an e46 will lose you more money in the next 2 years than keeping your STI 7 will.
Let us know your thoughts on the M3 compared to the scoob

M3 is very deceptive. It doesn't feel as fast as my STI 7 PPP, but when you look at the speedo, you are usually going 10-20mph than you would be in the STI.
It's not really a B road blaster, but excells (sp) in every other respect.

Right,,
Due to the depreciation on the STI7 i'm still contemplating the M3 Coupe.
Going to play with another one tomorrow.
Are there any Forums in the UK for this car?
(As good as scoobynet preferbably)

There are a few ex Scooby owners on www.bm3w.co.uk
Ive already owned an M3 E46 and STI 7. Thinking of one of those two again (obviously STI 8). M3's can depreciate as well though Slight preference to the M3, although an RS4 is very much in the running.

I've had both, and for sheer thrils the STi7 wins hands down. On the motorway or driving into London, the M3 was king. My e46 was one of the first in the UK and I decided to get rid of it in order to reduce my monthly outgoings.
Two weeks ago I got the PPP fitted to my STi7 and it totally transforms the car. My advice would be to keep the Scoob and get the PPP fitted.

Hi,
Loved the car,, and put a deposit down while I contemple going ahead with it.
My scoob doesn't need the PPP as I have the ECUTEK which has more power anywhere but yes it makes a huge difference.
Dont get me wrong I love my Scoob but after talking to lots of underwriters etc the market is getting flooded with scoobs and the values are going down.
They had trouble in finding some1 who wanted mine.

Dave if you fancy a M3 buy one mate but d'ont listen to the salesmen blurb 'there is not much market for your car'.They always say that. They'll say the same when you come to trade in your M3 in a year or twos time.Buy the M3 if you want to own the car,not to guard against depreciation. That can only be done very occasionally with a select few cars and only for a year or so while there are waiting lists.
ps does the M3 feel faster or slower than your Scoob?
