Cons: no boot space to speak of. Enough room for some scissors and curling tongs though.

Pros: Damn good fun to drive I had one as a hire car on my last holiday.

Hey Fluffer, I've been looking for ages for somewhere to rent a Spyder from (been considering buying one for ages, and would like to spend a couple of days with it rather than a ten minute test drive). Can you tell me where you rented yours from?

I found one site offering them in Cyprus - are they available anywhere else?

Yes, the missus has one. Great fun to drive - wonderful steering, reasonably nippy(!), 40mpg and legendary Toyota reliability. No storage space is the only drawback.

Thumbs up

Despite their hairdresser image it is the best roadster for the money, had one before the Scoob. Handles really well, *feels* faster than the Scoob (although no where near it!) and you can get a weeks shopping in the luggage space and boot! (about 7 bags worth). Go for it, you won't get a better car of that type for the money. Far better than the MGF, MGTF or MX-5. You're wife won't be dissapointed! Oh and they are pretty bullet-proof for reliability.

See http://www.mr2-roc.co.uk for info and user group.

Cheers

Jim
