MPVs

Hi,
I'm after something with 6 or more seats without stretching to the larger Galaxy/Voyager sized vehicles. I can only think of the Vauxhall Zafira or the Fiat Multipla. I test drove the Multipla on Sunday and was quite impressed, and I've been offered a good deal on a nearly new 1.9 JTD ELX. The only thing that puts me off is it's width (a struggle to get in the garage) and Fiat's build quality and reliability. (I don't dislike the looks). The Zafira seamed a bit dull afterwards.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these vehicles?
Many thanks.
Steve.

Stream is a very good vehicle and pretty quick for a MPV. I think the Fiat is a more focused machine for the purpose though being diesel, cheap to buy and run etc. Both will depreciate badly.

Went down this route and got a Sharan, didnt like Zafira as the middle belt as only a lap belt so you have to decide which child gets their spine pulled from their pelvis if you crash !
To be honest size wise their isnt that much in it.

Friends of mine are a honda family (CTR and Stream) - they love both the cars and find the differences in performance less than expected!
The Stream does seem like a great car - still I'd probably go for a Multipla as I love them (don't know what's wrong with me!)

Thanks for the replies.
I had a look at the Stream, but the dealer wants £16,995 for a new one or £14k for a demostrator. It also only had a lap belt in the middle, and the third row wasn't as flexible as the Zafira.
The 2003 Zafira's have a 40-20-40 split middle row and a proper seat belt for the middle passenger.
However the Multipla is still looking favourite. I like the way opions are so divided over it. Whenever I speak to anyone about them they either love it or hate it; there is no middle ground. Also, I've been offered a new 1.9JTD ELX for under £14k.
Thanks.
