like the M3 look alloys to suit a E46 318i. What size should i go for? I was told 18" don't rub but would this be a bumpy ride? I also was told that 19" wouldn't rub but not too sure if this is right? please let me know if you have any experience on it?

thanks

The M3 E46 19" alloys look best.

You can't fit its rears (19x9.5), but its fronts (19x8) will go on your front and back.

There's a few places in the UK selling them mail order. If nobody comes up with any tel nos or websites I'll check for you on Monday (all my stuff is at work)

Personally I was thinking of going down this route with a set of racing dynamics wheels:

Thanks

Do you know how much a genuine set will cost? I am in real need as the alloys i have are really disgusting! can't stand them.
Is it worth it to go for replica's? And do they rub? seen a set for 1050 with new tyres, not too sure what tyres they are though, no scratches as they were used for 40 miles or less. They are 19" ones.

I can find out how much a new set will cost for you at work tomorrow if you like? If memory serves me correct, I believe they're about £400 a rim, without tyres. Don't quote me on that though.

If your car is a saloon, they'll look pretty pants without a suspension drop. Either that or it'll sit like an X5

M3 (e46) wheels come in either 19x8 or 19x9.5

The M3 is wider at the back that the rest of the 3 series range, hence it can manage 19x9.5

A non-M3 (e46) can take up to 19x9 *I think*

Check my links (above) for prices.

The E46 M3 alloys are c. £450 per wheel, plus tyres. You need an M3 chassis number to order them to ensure they stay unique to the M3s.

450 per wheel think i'm going to have to buy some second handy's not really worth it when the car is 8k.

Would it matter if the E46 i have is a 4 door?

I have a M3 chassis number

£425 for fronts, £450 for rears. Not totally sure you need an M3 chassis number to order them, think that's only E36 M3 parts. I've ordered E46 M3 parts without chassis number, never ordered 19" M3 wheels, not that many people have, they're only 4 sets with tyres on available to buy from BMW themselves at this moment in time, two from GB, two from AG. (The complete set with tyres is about £3400).
