Daewoo parts
The bird's just passed her driving test and looking for a first car. We were looking at Daewoo Matiz's which can now be bought dirtly cheap i.e < 2 years old, < 10,000 miles, fully specced, FSH etc. etc. for £2500 that's about 65% or more, less than brand new And an absolute bargain. The price is obviously so low because Daewoo have ceased to be and nobody wants 'em. I've read a few reviews and they seem to be decent little cars which will fulfill what she wants it for. HOWEVER will there be a problem with parts? Does anybody know what's happening on this front?
BTW- I realise that it's a long shot as there's probably very few people on here who follow the exploits of daewoo however I don't know who else to ask so any help would be much appreciated.

Daewoo is now owned by GM and is called GM Daewoo. In the UK the old distributors are gone, in fact one of their ex-employees is sat right behind me. New GM managed operations are now in place with new dealers be recruited to replace those gone/lost during the switch over. Parts will not be a problem in the future, the same cars are being sold now as before. You just need to find a supplier local to you.
