Anyone owned or driven either of these DIESEL models ?
(I know they've VAG engines but how are the cars apart from that?)

Looking at the nearly-new prices and add a £500 rechip seems to give you Golf 130/150 PD'ish performance for about 30/40% less £

How about the Ibiza with the PD130 engine? Similar size to Fabia and a fair bit quicker than a Golf 150 when chipped.
See here if you fancy one for lots and lots less wonga than a Golf 130.
