Now my RB5 WR has gone I'm on the lookout for a new car. Originally it was to be a RAV4 but now Mrs T may be happy driving around an E7 I may be able to get hold of the following car :

02 Reg
Evo 7 FQ 300
UK Reg
7,000 Miles
FMSH

I can buy this car for 22.5k, do you think its a good buy which it seems to be based on Autotrader prices or do you you think the Evo 8 will knock residuals on the 7 once its launched. I don't want a 6 or 8.

Thanks

David

Cool

I would be biting the person's hand off who is selling that.

But also, asking plenty of questions to make sure there isn't an undisclosed reason for the price.
If there is something nasty about to happen then you could be looking at a couple of thousand to fix it.

Maybe I am being overly skeptical on the price. Though I know I would rather have grilled the owner about everything.

Have you been across to the MLR board for suggestions there?

Its black, and I would be purchasing it from a Mitsibishi dealer, Who has maintained it from new and sold it from new. The owner is upgrading to an 8 and Mitsubishi are offering all 7 owners a discount on the 8 on the provision they purchased the 7 new. As I know the salesman he is passing the 7 straight on the same day as they do not want a 7 on the forecourt with the 8's coming in.

Thanks Miss WRX, still waiting for my MLR login to be approved

I'm probably wrong here but I didn't think that Mitsubishi sold EVO's. Ralliart/eXtreme do.

Cool

Well, my old local Mitsi dealer Holdcroft were awaiting two Evo's when I asked for a test drive.

I was told that I would have to put a deposit down as if I was buying one in order to qualify for a test drive last year!!! No thanks!!!! I opted to test drive an import instead.

I have taken the liberty of posting up in the MLR for you.....I hope you don't mind.....here is the thread

Cheers,

Michelle.

PS. IMHO, I think you should test drive it and go for it.

Extreme are not allowed to use the ralliart name anymore, they still import cars though.
Mitsi dealers are the only people to get an "offical car" from.

Sounds v good deal to me.

I drove the FQ300 last week and I'd definitely have one at that money. My local dealers asking £25.5k for a Y plate with similar miles.
