M3 CSL vs NSX Type R

What do you lot make of the CSL? The word over at BM3W is that is will cost circa 58K with a 100kg weight saving and a boost to 355bhp (comfirmed bhp/litre is 109) Raft of sharper susp changes too and a faster swapping SMG only.
On the BMW central info list and will apparantly be expected to confirm soon whether or not to take one (either total production is 500 or RHD procuction is but not sure). Originally i was just planning to have it for afew weeks then sell it on for a profit but am getting the itching feeling to keep it, after all you only live once! - but @ 58K its only 8 grand shy of an NSX Typr R, does it come in any other colour than that horrible white?
Any ideas?

Cheers - dont seem to be able to get one but i'll investigate...
Whilst browsing noticed a nice E30 M3 for 6K which might interest several people on here. Its made me think about speed vs fun - will the extra speed of the CSL really be better than the (most likely) sweeter steer of the E30 M3 - not to mention money saved??
I was at donny on the other week and being taken around in M3s seem to spend have the time waiting for others to get out of they way!

I've not driven a CSL (but std. M3s + SMGs quite a bit), but the NSX type R is simply quite awesome.
Armstong steering + sticky RE070 tyres (yep, as also seen on the JDM STi8 w/dccd-a) = not a great city car IMHO, but I have seen a few in Tokyo. The sound track is amazing (and fabulous ), as are all the controls - feedback and feel are pure bliss. Not much of an options list beyond performance bits, and you'd better like white tho, coz that's it for colours And don't go looking for the A/C
As far as accesible perf goes tho, a JDM STi8 17" car has more accesible performance for mere mortals IMHO.

CSL anyday - it is far more advanced than a type R. Carbon fiber roof/splitter/bonnet/fastest sequential box around etc etc
It is rare too, and for all the right reasons unlike the type R - i.e. the CSL slots are already snapped up, while the Type R because not many people, except a bunch of enthuasits want it. Bear in mind you will lose far far less cash on a CSL.
Only problem is how will you get your hands on one without paying a massive premium?

I disagree Skittles, the NSX-R will be as rare if not rarer than a M3 CSL, with out driven either i couldnt comment which is the better drive, or the most advanced.
I see loads of M3's and although a completly differant inner, the outside looks very similar, how many NSX's new shape do you see, let alone a Type R?

The NSX type r is pretty rare the only one i've seen actually in real life was actually when i was over in Hong Kong for a holiday. Very wide cars doubt you'll find anywhere in the UK where you can park it wihtout it having a single scratch on it.

I get the impression that the CSL wont be the great car eeryones expecting. Time will tell. The NSXR (Sounds like a Suzuki!) Was Evos car of the year, One of the worlds most underated supercars. People wont know what it is if its debadged. Anything designed by Senna should be ok for the rest of you (Im better than Senna! )
