So my opinion on the Mk3 16v counted for nothing??

Trust me DBM, test one. If it's a VR6 badge you specifically want then nothing will talk you out of it i guess; if you want the sensible option with plenty of potential, you'd be daft not to try one.

Yep Tel, I am still thinking of it, but they are quite easy to find on the Autotrader compared to these it seems. Would have lots of change to make it go faster too!

I'll dig up the pics (or retake them) asap.

Wasn't in a hurry to sell as I needed to put an MOT on it. It now has a full years MOT!

£6500

Classic Green with Beige Leather (same as storm models)
86,000 miles
Electric windows/mirrors/sunroof
Year old Kenwood Rad/Cassette + 6CD autochanger
Full Service History (All VW except last one which was by Volksline, a VW specialist who know more about them than VW! )
Totally unmodified
Body and Wheels in Very good condition
Tyres have loads of life left
Brakes (all 4 disks & pads) were all recently done.
Everything works properly and the car runs excellently

DBM,

in my experience, with the Corrado VR6 you get what you pay for. I'm sure there are a few examples about at 4-5k (Dracoro - am I right in thinking yours is an M reg??), but these cars are so easy to abuse and hide it from the layman. For instance some tw*t, who was a trader, in Derby (150 mile round trip from me) tried to flog me a 62k N reg for £4200 about 4 months ago. Went to see it and it soon became apparent that the mileage could not be genuine - pedal rubbers, seat wear etc etc (plus possibly some rear end damage). Phoned VW and lo and behold the car had been serviced in '98 with 75K on the clock.

All I'm trying to say is that you need to watch out!! 6500 is about on the nose for a v.good M reg - there aren't many about!!

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Nev
