They remind me of those old bathroom lights, sort of doughnut flourescent tube thing, sometimes with a built in heater. Looked cool for ten mins after coming out, now just good advance warning of BMW in the vicinity.

Just like all the new BMW's. IMO they look sound, depending on what sort of money we're talking about.
