Hi All,
After writing off my Scooby on Monday (not my fault!) i have been toying with the idea of buying a RX7. I love the looks and have heard the go some! But have also heard that the engine can cost loads to look after? Is it true? Any tips/advice on running would be cool.
Also is there any specialists in the North West?

www.rx7club.com is an absolute mine of information.Really. Investigate it properly.
Other favoured links I'm sure will follow.

Either buy one that has recently had a rebuilt engine or buy one budgeting on needing one soon (2 grand and quite a few weeks)
Join up to the buyers list on: FDUK where you can get your questions answered.
Running costs are high, but shouldn't be much worse than an Impreza - 17mpg(if you are lucky) servicing about every 6k and oil changes every 3k. Use a specialist and not a Mazda dealer (they generally don't know what an RX is)
It is even fusier than a scoob, must be warmed up before using the revs and cooled down before switched off, and should be taken to the red line during every journey if possible.
Insurance can be nasty (grp 20)
