Question

Hi People,

1st of all may I say wot a cool website - I spend hours just reading thru the posts. You all seem like a really nice bunch.

I need help, I drive a 1.5 Yaris TSport. I have heard rumour that for a price I can get my Chip Re-Mapped to get some more BHP out of her. Is this true and can you suggest companys / websites I can look into. I am based in Sussex so a local company to me would be best - dont fancy a long drive.

I look forward to hearing from any of you.

Over and out

You will like it around here.... good people.

I know it's a bit out of the way for you, but you might want to give Power Station a call.... they are probably the best people around...... they are down near Chichester but well worth it.

01242-2138400

but there must be someone nearer to you - failing all that.

Ey up!

My mate has a Yaris T-Sport There's not a great deal about for them at the mo, no real chips so to speak. He added an HKS Racing Suction Induction kit and HKS Hiper CAT back exhaust which gives about 120bhp, so up on the 105ish that it is standard Car is much quicker too and goes real well, keeps up with his mates Saxo VTS now - obviously not 0-60 due to gearing but once on the move its no prob. Total cost 490 quid, and the exhaust sounds well good
Also another thing to bear in mind is that the new Yaris T Sport T coming out is a 1.5 Turbo and with 150 or 160bhp. Toyota will be selling the Turbo kit as an upgrade to current T Sport owners - thats well worth looking out for.
As the T Sport is so light, with 150bhp turbo it will have a power to weight of about 156bhp/tonne (thats just 10 short of a Civic Type R and the same as a Celica GT4).

Have a look here: http://www.tdi-plc.com/toyota_yaris.html as thats where he got his bits from!

Have fun!
Cheers
Neil

Thanks for the info on the T/S

I already have the cat exhaust and induc kit - I am getting a pressie from my b/f to add to it aswell (dont know what yet)i am upping my wheels to 205's soon - my current ones are beggining to perish. This is the year i spend modding it.

I have been looking at the T S T, v. nice. But i am going to stick with mine. Eventually once everything has been upgraded i.e. brakes etc i will finish with a Super Charge Kit

Nice car - loving every journey

Cool

There is a company called "Powerstation" who are based in Cheltenham, hope Black Cat hasn't got them muddled up with another outfit based in Chichester... mind you, it would be an easy mistake to make, considering the telephone number BC gave appears to be the same as the cheltenham one!

I am sure Powerstation can deal with superchipping a 1.5 Yaris.

205's on the Yaris may require arch mods - what size too as Toyota reckon you can't put 17s on yeah right! mate is putting 16s on his with 195s.

As for the supercharger, you could, but I'm pretty sure the turbo kit is cheaper and will be more versatile as you can up the boost easier Worth keeping an eye on both.

Have fun anyway - cracking little motors then - highly underrated!
