The Smart Cross Blade, you know the car. Hasnt got any windows or doors.

What do you think of them?
Do you think they will hold there value?

Has anyone on here got one?

Your thoughts please.

There's one in the Exeter Smart Centre. Personally I think that they are £7k overpriced, and the used market will see that. They can't shift then new ones, so to sell a used one would mean discounting it and there went your residuals.

Order the roadster (£500 deposit, launch in summer and £1-3k less than the 'blade depending who you talk to); I nearly did, but decided I'd only end up using the thing if I had it coming, when I'd really have been doing it to speculate.

Having had both a coupe and a cabrio I'd say the 'blade will be slow and handle badly, although it looks amazing and would feel fast.

Evo reckoned the roadster was like a mini 911, which can't be bad.

Utterly fantastic to look at, and utterly awful to use.

Did you not see the report Big Tom did on 5th Gear. I have never seen such a miserable exposed driving position outside of a motorcycle or an Arial Atom.

Complete pose mobile best left for the South of France.

You should try jumping in one and having a spin - an absolute blast - even if it is over-priced and impractical - a total grin machine

Smart Car, I didn't think much of them having seen a few around Aberdeen, but when I was in Rome they made a lot of sense, traffic parking etc, they same would apply in any big city. I looked at the Blade in a Rome showroom and it looked the biz, but the practicality even in a big city would be lost by the lack of security, and being open to the traffic fumes.

My opinion - A very expensive toy - if I buy an expensive toy it will be a Westfield thanks !

Too expensive and, to my mind, bloody useless. If you want a town car, buy a town car that you can use. If you want an open top sports car, buy an open top sports car that actually has some performance....
