Question

I'm looking to replace the intercooler on an old Saab 900.
The current one is tiny and in the wrong place.
A cheaper alternative to getting a custom one welded up ~ £600 would be an RS500 cooler ~ £300.
Any FMIC is going to be an improvement over the original but are the RS500 units accepted to be any good, or are they pretty quickly replaced when upgrading a Cosworth?
They look the right shape for the Saab but does anyone have the dimensions to hand?
Is there a large pressure drop across them?
What sort of power and boost pressure can they support?

TIA,

Muf

The RS500 i/c is widely regarded as being one of the best upgrades for any cosworth, due to its size, and more importantly, due to the highly efficient Behr core.

It's huge, and comes with T4 sized end pipes, so don't know if that would be a problem.

However, if you can find genuine ones at £300, I'll have 2 right now!

Thanks Richard,

'Genuine' might be the important word here!

And I guess they're all +VAT.
