Those cars should perfom on a par with 1.5 litre superminis, tho the 64ps engine power limit can be beaten very easily even with little mods. Top speed is limited to 140km/h, but again those cars can achieve much more.
AFAIK, the only performance k-cars that were officially sold in UK are Suzuki Cuppucino & Diahatsu Mira Avanzato. My personal favourite now is probably the Daihatsu V-max.

Daihatsus rule in the small engine big power stakes. Thats why I bought a charade GTti to partner my Scoob. It will be quite easy to get the Charade to Scoob humbling performance for little money. Ideal as a track day car , very light , tunable and very durable and easy to work on yourself.
There is a TRX for sale I can't remember here but its a UK car for sale for just 3K !
A good source of info for Daihatsu stuff is bbs.daihard.org .
I'm hoping to be running the Charade GTti owners club next year and know a number of useful people so if you need any help let me know.
