Just to prove you can have performance and economy. Whats more mpg gets better and better as the car loosens up.

Now I know why they dont put a fuel computer in scoobs!

Haha! I know what you mean. Mine's on about 33-34 mpg. I have fitted the B&M Quickshift mechanism to it now. I actually preferred the old linkage( both are really quite bad ).

Yeah, my mate got a mk1 Clio 172 as a company car and he was amazed at how good it is on fuel!

My 106 GTi was even better and driven normally you were around the high 30's, but nailing it still returned low 30's.

Shame my 306 Rallye aint like that...
