Audi Coupe Quattro Turbo Tuning
#1
I have been offered by a close friends in Greece, a conversion for my car, he is going to fit in the car the following:
Audi RS2 brakes
Audi RS2 Differentials
Audi RS2 Engine
Audi RS2 6-speed Gearbox
Audi RS2 Suspension
he is aking for £2000 to do it.
Is that good? I just got the car and i don't know s*it about mods and stuff for audis.

To be honest I can't understand how he would do it a such a menacingly low price?!
It should cost about that for just brakes and fitting.
If it is all in good nick - go for it! The RS2 engine is 315bhp and can be tuned!

I was working in his tuning company for 1 and a half month during the summer and we agreed that instead of paying me, he would give me free fitting on every conversion or modification i wanted to on the car that i would buy.

Fantastic
I used to own a 2144cc WR engined UR-q a few years back. Loved it to bits. I thought it cost a lot to run, until I bought a Scoob.
Quite like a pukka RS2 in blue though....
Sadly given the state of the telecoms industry nows not a good time to go shopping
This used to be mine.

Isn't she a beauty?no offence to the scoobys but i'm an 80s design follower. i found a nice company called dialynx, that make conversions. After i'll do the transplant i'll propably go to them. They convert a normal coupe quattro turbo to a quattro sport!!
It costs around 7500 thousand for everything, but i just want to do the shortening. So i believe they will charge around 2000-2500 for making the car short-wheelbased. And then....

Dialynx ~ a set of true enthusiasts. Never had a problem with em.
You just can't beat that warble of the 5cyl engine, again I'm an 80's rally car nut so for me to own the UR-q was just a dream. Its only issue was that it had knackered valve stem seals so drank oil as if it was going out of fashion
I'd buy another tomorrow if I'd the money. The lag was something else....wait for it any moment now... almost, turbo will be along any minute... whoooooooooooooosh and away it blasted.
Its 90 litre fuel tank was a laugh ~ not
Anyones shopping list has to include a proper sport

Took these at Shelsy Walsh hillclimb a couple of months back.
(Yes I know its going "downhill", but I was too gobsmacked watching it go up to take a photo)
It appeared to be running full antilag, the noise was awesome. Just couldn't get enough of it
But my brother owns a MK1 Escort which is used in Hillclimbs / sprints.... For a 2000cc its "quite" entertaining.

Mine was exactly the same. Went everywhere with my litre of Shell Helix in the boot
Oh and don't cross thead the fuel cap. Filled mine up, on the motorway saw the fuel gauge say 19...18....17 in a couple of mins. Thought WTF, looked in wing mirror closely and saw a vapour tail coming off the rear spoiler
Put hazards on, then turned them off FAST when I realised that a spark could ignite me. Pulled across 3 lanes of traffic, onto hard shoulder at 70MPH turned ignition off and coasted to a halt !!!!
I'd cross threaded the fuel cap and it vacuuming itself out !

!!!! OH MY GOD. YOu were LUCKY!!! the thing is now, that i want to go for x-mas to greece with the car to do the conversion, but i don't know what the weather will be like and i don't want to get stuck in germany or switzerland. Do you know any transportation companies? the cheaper the better of course.
