MPG Impreza V Lancer evo

just out of interest i was wondering how much to fill up your tank and how many miles you get, i know the lancer has a smaller tank but im just interested to know.
im thinking of getting maybe a lancer evo but it will depend on the amount of miles i will have to do and at the moment i dont do many but this could change.
many thanx

According to AutoCar figs an Sti4 does an average 19.9mpg while an EVO6 does 23.1
The Sti has a 60litre fuel tank & the EVO has a 50litre.
It depends on how you drive obviously but many EVO6 drivers dont see many miles past 200 on a full tank.
I always fill up with 50litres (as I use Millers) & it costs me just under £40 (Optimax)

I run a slightly modified STI Type R on optimax + octane booster and get around 220-250 miles on a full tank (about £45 to fill) with mixed driving i.e. normal cruising and some fun blasts.

I fill my 6 up when the low fuel light comes on (normally a 40l fill) which costs 30 quid for optimax. I get around 180 miles of driving out of that, with a mix of bimbling around town (too much traffic to go quick anyway) and opening up on country roads/motorway.
Not sure what that makes in mpg, I think last time I did the maths it was around 20-25...

hmmmmm, my problem is that i work at the moment 7 miles away and each week i do around 80 miles a week go to and from work, this would be fine if i bought a Turbo charged car which i really want however if i change my job then it gets complicated, i wouldnt want ot run two cars.
End of february i will have enuff $ for a Evo5 or an sti type r, ive only worked for a year since finishing uni and i gotta have one of those cars as ive owned many quick cars the next step is got 2 a be turbo 4x4.
does anybody do more than 300 miles in their evo/impreza a week?

To be very honest if I did 300+ miles a week I personally wouldn't run a Scooby/EVO as the fuel bills would be crippling.....though I am sure there are those on here that do !

I do 900 miles a week but I use the Golf TDi for that!
Tim
Anyway back on topic my EVO VI returned me 13 mpg and the Scoob does 22-26 depending on how I drive it. Needless to say, I sold the EVO VI!

I used to do on average 550 per week, in in a modded MY00 and that crippled me. I had to see it go and now got a diesel audi. If you cant afford to throw petrol in it and forget it, dont get one. Else like me was you will trickle around trying to save fuel, and that defeats the object a little!!!

If you're seriously worrying about fuel consumption, I'd genuinely think about something else.
To agree with some of the above comments,
I do about 500 miles a week in my 99MY and average 24mpg. The best you can realistically expect if you're careful is about 28mpg unless you drive it in a way that its not worth owning one. If you are going to do some short trips I agree with Tim's lower range figure of 22mpg. The worst I've had was 16.2
