Sapphire Cosworth Ecu Upgrade
#1
Hi
It seems a lot of Scooby owners have/have had experience withe the Sapphire Cosworth.
I have recently aquired a rally prepared one but has a fairly standard spec engine and ecu.
I would like to run Anti lag and water injection.
The ecu I have is a L8
Do I need to get a Pectel board/chip or are their alternatives ?
Any info/advice appreciated
Ade

Havnt owned a cossie but hopefully you should get a few replies
The chips i know of are the ones supplied by Graham Goode Racing (cosworth speciallists) and the Ahamed Bajoo?? chip?
You may be better asking on the rsoc board www.rsoc.couk

I got antilag...
You need P8 (big turbo escort cossie) managment, 4x4 throttle position sensor (the red one), an ALS babyboard for the ecu to run the antilag, and an antilag valve. And a ALS shaft for the turbo if you running wild levels of antilag (like i am! lol ).
Ring Racetek (07721 078371- Ian. evenings prolly best), or Joe@Bluesprint (01621 744881) for the bits u need. You will find most tuners like GGR, BBR, SCS, blah blah, will either have no or very little experience, and will either give u bad advice (like "your turbo etc wont last 5mins-- complete bollocks), charge a fortune (like 3times what the 2 companies i reccomended would charge), or simply wont want to know.
Its a very easy DIY fit (barring replacing the turbo shaft).
Any other advice, jus ask, ive had it for years, and know 3 others with it too.
And look at the vid clips on my other post on this board for AntiLag in action...
I love it, never ever have a turbo car without it.
Cheers, Steve (Steve3drCossie@Hotmail.com)
